COMMUNITY GRANTS
What Is Our Community Grants Program?
Our Community Grants Program supports nonprofit organizations and is uniting to make Eagan a better place to live, learn, work and play for all. Recipients of grants serve the community in a number of ways that directly benefit Eagan. While we will consider all grant proposals, we particularly encourage applications targeting areas of need, such as shelter/housing, at-risk youth, those in economic need, access to nutritious food, youth development, and community building. You can learn more about past recipients and the proposal process here.
Since 1990, the Eagan Community Foundation has contributed more than $2,000,000 to the Eagan community through student scholarships, local initiatives, and community grants.
Recipients receive their grant and are recognized at an Community Grants Awards Breakfast.

Youth Grants Initiative
The Eagan Community Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative returned for its 4th year in 2022. High school students, leaders of tomorrow in Eagan, participated in the grants process by assessing community needs, evaluating requests, and designating $3,000 in funding to nonprofits they felt best served the needs of Eagan youth. Along the way they learn a variety of decision making tools and group facilitation techniques.
