Advisory and Board Positions

Working Board: The Eagan Community Foundation is governed by enthusiastic and committed volunteer members of the Eagan community who are willing to share their skills and expertise. The Foundation has a “working board” whose members serve on one or more committees that support the strategic goals of the organization. Learn more about joining our working board HERE.

Executive Advisory Council: The Eagan Community Foundation is creating an Executive Advisory Board to support the strategic expansion of the Foundation beyond its original focus as an educational foundation.  The Foundation is growing its partnership with the nonprofit community to identify gaps in coverage, nonprofit/community needs, and deepening relationships with the business and government sectors to help collectively address those gaps and enrich current services.

The Foundation is looking for executive leaders in the Eagan area to provide thoughtful guidance and insight to enrich the formation of our strategies and create a model that will be most beneficial to the Eagan community. It will also support the existing Board and Staff to navigate the transformational growth.

Initial commitment is for three meetings/year. Please indicate your interest HERE. This position is not paid.

Community Advisory Council: As the Eagan Community Foundation continues to grow as an organization supporting its mission to make Eagan a better place to live, work, and play for all, we are creating a Community Advisory Council.  This Council will serve as the voice of Eagan back to the staff and Board, providing insights, observations, constructive feedback, ideas, and perspectives. We are assembling a mix of 8 - 12 passionate community members and experienced DEIB professionals. Council Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing diverse perspectives and insights about the Eagan community and the ways the Foundation can make Eagan a better place to live, work, and play for all.

  • Exploring and addressing any needs - not just racial equity but other diversity/equity priorities that the community may face.

  • Working with the Board and staff to set actionable goals, both short and long term

Initial commitment is for three meetings/year. Please indicate your interest HERE . This position is not paid.
