What is a donor-advised fund?
Also known as DAFs, a donor-advised funds is personal investment accounts that simplify and encourage charitable giving. These philanthropic accounts hold donations of cash, stock, or other assets. With a balance of at least $10,000 in your fund, you, and your family grant money to your favorite charitable causes in Eagan and beyond.
What are the benefits?
It’s tax-deductible giving - you decide where your funds will best serve Eagan and beyond (you can give to any of the nonprofit causes you support with your DAF at the Eagan Community Foundation )
You partner with the Foundation to help fill the community’s most critical needs
The donor, or persons appointed by the donor, decide where the fund’s investments and/or distributions will be donated

Local Expertise: The Foundation has been partnering with deserving organizations in Eagan since its inception in 1990. Locally, we know the community’s greatest needs making it easy for you to give back in areas you have passion for, while relieving you of the burden of vetting organizations on your own. You don’t need to be an expert on every organization; partner with us to maximize your impact within the community.
Giving Beyond Eagan: You can still support the organization’s you’ve contributed to over the years, including organizations beyond Eagan. You name the charity and amount - we’ll conduct some due diligence and quickly process your gift.
